I just started my very first BzzAgent Campaign – testing Clean & Clear’s makeup dissolving line and sharing my thoughts on it with others. Since I currently use – and really like – Clean & Clear’s MORNING BURST^® Shine Control Facial Scrub, I thought this was a great campaign for me to start with. And I get to share the results with y’all!

So far I’ve used the facial cleansing wipes twice. I was only wearing a touch of foundation (more as a concealer) and a bit of mascara, so there really wasn’t much makeup to remove, but it did take it off nicely. I use Mary Kay mascara and generally just use water, as I’m quite terrified of getting any sort of cleanser in my eyes. These facial wipes did an excellent job removing the mascara completely without making black smudges under my eyes, and they didn’t bother my sensitive skin in the least. The jury’s still out on how clean they left my face feeling when I was done. I’ll keep you updated as I use them more. And I plan to try out the eye makeup remover later this week (a good excuse to play with eye liner and everything!) and will post my thoughts after I’ve done so.

In other news, the next issue of the magazine has just been proofread. A few small edits and it’ll be on its way to the printer. Praise the Lord! Thank y’all for your patience. And, finally, the e-newsletter. I’ve not sent one out in many months. Dare I say close to a year? I’ve just discovered Swagbucks this past month and like it so much I wanted to share. I’ve been a member for 3-4 weeks now and have already earned 33 Swagbucks, mostly by using their search engine. Just 12 more and I’ll have enough to trade in for a $5 Amazon gift card. I’ll probably be saving them up for awhile instead and getting some airline miles.

It took about a week for me to get used to searching with Swagbucks instead of Google, like I was accustomed to. Downloading the search bar was a big help. Once in awhile I still switch over to Google when Swagbucks doesn’t come up with quite what I need, but most of the time the results it comes up with are quite sufficient.

Family

It has been one crazy week here as we’ve spent the last six days packing, loading the moving truck, unloading the moving truck, cleaning, and trying to do a bit of organizing and set-up. The last of the boxes was moved into the house at 1:15 this morning. It’s official now – the Bentley family has moved. Praise the Lord, we’re finished!

There’s still lots of unpacking, set-up, organizing, and re-arranging to do, but we’re all here. All together again.

That’s what I’m most thankful about in regards to this move. Our family being together. And the fact that I have a family that likes to be together. I am so blessed.

The Intangible

I’m typing this post from a Panera Bread, thankful for the free wi-fi they offer. Tomorrow we pack the moving van and wave goodbye to McKenney, on our way to the official beginning of a new verse in life’s song. Today I’m thankful for memories. For the dreams that keep us moving. For the prize that we keep running towards.

Today I’m thankful for the intangible. Faith, hope and dreams.

Enter His Gates

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
Psalm 100:4

When we enter into prayer, how often do we enter with thanksgiving? How often do we step into the courts of the Lord offering praises to our King? I know that all too often my prayers begin with me, not with Him. Today I’m going to start working towards entering into my Father’s gates with thanksgiving and praise.

How often do we thank God for the people He brings to mind? When you suddenly find yourself thinking of a friend, a family member, a co-worker, a government leader . . . do you thank the Lord for them? There is no one on earth God did place here. No one He did not create and does not love. The next time He whispers someone’s name in our ears, let’s remember to tell Him thank you for them and ask Him to bless and guide them.
