The Magazine
A Lady in Waiting is a print magazine for young women like you, especially if you are past your high school years and are still living at home. Historically, a lady-in-waiting was the servant and close friend of royalty, specifically the queen; the goal of A Lady in Waiting is to encourage and exhort young women as they serve the King of kings.
I hope this magazine will help meet your current needs with articles that speak to you where you are now – not just where you hope to be several years down the road. A Lady in Waiting will include articles on running a home business, basic homemaking skills, encouraging our siblings, ministry opportunities, and growing in Christ, as well as letters from “older women,” recipes, book reviews, and more.
It is my hope that, through the pages of A Lady in Waiting, you will be reminded of why you chose to walk this path, will feel connected to others who are traveling the same road, and will be encouraged as you glorify the King.
Although ALIW is currently published as funds allow, I hope to be able to print on a regular quarterly schedule beginning sometime in 2008. Every subscription helps, so spread the word!
